Those who want to pursue a master’s degree at Sussex in the engineering department may apply for the John Kinghorn Scholarship. Three scholarships are offered, but one of them is only open to female applicants to increase the number of women studying STEM fields. Applicants who have been offered a place to pursue a master’s degree in engineering are eligible for this award.
Support is provided to students who are underrepresented in higher education through the Widening Participation team at Sussex. They can assist students in making wise decisions about their future. The John Kinghorn Scholarship in Engineering is one of the programs the University of Sussex has launched to help students with their postsecondary studies. The award is mainly intended for students majoring in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Both local and foreign students may get scholarships from the University of Sussex. Exclusively the University of Sussex offers a degree, which is only given based on merit. Students get the award only once a year; it is not renewable.
The John Kinghorn Scholarship in Engineering is only available to three students, one of whom must be a woman.

To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, you must have been offered and accepted a full-time place on an Engineering degree commencing in September 2023.
