Nigerian police arrest two officers who interacted with ISWAP terrorists following the Kuje prison attack

The two officers have been detained by the police pending further investigation on the matter.

Recall that gunmen attacked the Kuje Prison in Abuja on Tuesday. Over 800 convicts, including terrorists, fled during the raid by gunmen, according to reports, who claim that the terrorists stormed the institution at 9:05 pm and remained there until 1:30 am on Wednesday.

The terrorist organization had already taken credit for the assault on that building. In a video made public on Wednesday, ISWAP claimed accountability for the assault. The terrorist group showed several of its members shooting their way inside the building in the video.

However, the Nigeria Police Force has arrested two police officers who communicated with the Islamic State West African Province terrorists immediately after they had attacked Kuje Prison in Abuja on Tuesday night.

According to Daily Trust, the two officers have been detained by the police pending further investigation on the matter.
